About Me

I am a Freelance Writer and Social Media Content Creator/Curator/Strategist, and more recently, an Iphoneography Artist.

Although I consider myself a Writer first and foremost, I have broadened my vision to become what I term a “Creative Inspiration Artist” who playfully interacts with words, colors and visual imagery in unique ways to create beauty, inspire ideas and promote positivity. I effectively utilize Social Media as my primary means to creatively express myself, inspire others, advocate for change and social causes, and make a difference in what ultimately is a collaborative effort to change the world “one byte at a time!”

I am a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of UMASS-Amherst with a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology, and a Criminal Justice concentration. My extensive and eclectic employment history includes work as a Mental Health Counselor/Case Manager for severely mentally ill adults, as well as a Correctional Recovery/Substance Abuse Counselor for an adult male inmate population. My life experiences have been vastly diverse as well, running the gamut from the ordinary to the extraordinary, the trivial to the profound, the life-altering to the life-affirming, the celebratory to the tragic. I have loved and lost, rejoiced and despaired, hoped and grieved, as most human beings have. As my life circumstances have changed over the past few years, so have my priorities, allowing me the freedom and time to pursue my lifelong passion for the written word. I have refocused my intention and aspirations toward self-discovery, as I follow my dreams and fulfill my purpose as an agent of positive change in the world. Acting as a conduit for love and a messenger of inspiration, I am capitalizing on my skills, experiences, passion and knowledge while also maintaining my authenticity, integrity and self-respect. I am keeping it Real, so to speak.

In addition to my creative endeavors mentioned above, my passions include Animal Welfare/Animal Rights, promoting World Peace and Unconditional Love, Advocacy/Activism for Social Causes Pertaining to Humane Treatment and Respect for all Animals and People, Music (Classic Rock, Pop, Punk, 80’s new wave, HipHop, RnB, Trance, Alternative, New Age, Ambient), HipHop Culture & Dance, Internet Radio and Podcasts, Movies, Reading, Spiritual Enlightenment, Seeking Truth & Wisdom, Learning/Absorbing Information, Meditation/Mindfulness, Buddhism & other Eastern philosophies, Comedy & Laughter, Aesthetic Beauty in Art, Photography, Nature, Colors, Animations & Graphics, Self-Discovery, and Internet Search & Discovery of new creative Apps and Websites during my playtime in cyberspace via my iphone, iPad and Kindle Fire tablet.
