We all experience “down time”, or moments of sadness in life. No-one can be happy 100% of the time. Even the Dalai Lama feels sad once in a while. Sadness itself does not cause suffering, nor does the experience of pain, be it physical or emotional, cause suffering. Rather it is our ATTACHMENT to temporary or transitory feeling states, experienced as positive or negative emotions, that causes suffering. Remember the only constant in life is change…nothing lasts forever. Pleasure and Pain come and go as brief bursts of energy, flashing pulsations of light vibrating across transitory moments, temporary feeling states that remind us we are human. Both experiences are necessary to the human condition, not so much polar opposites, as polar extremes, incremental variations in degree traveling along the same continuum. When there is less pain, there is more pleasure and vice versa. If you are feeling “down,” remember it is just a pitstop along the pleasure circuit, soon to be a memory, a reference point by which you may recognize tomorrow’s joy when it becomes the present moment. May your days of Love, Light and Laughter outnumber your days of pain, darkness and tears.
Rejoice in your Humanity! Rejoice in being Alive! If you are not feeling pain nor are you feeling pleasure…you are no longer among the living. In other words, keep it moving! The cycle of life is one of perpetual motion! Roll with it! Don’t get stuck on yesterday’s news, all that matters is NOW! BAM! And NOW! … and NOW … :-)

Some valuable advice for anyone having a tough time letting go and moving on from a past relationship: Greatness awaits you…set yourself free so you may recognize and receive the miracles and opportunities that present to you. Love yourself and keep “Doing You!” I can honestly say that after years of being stuck in a self-sustaining cyclical web of codependency, dysfunctional relationships and maladaptive behavior patterns, ” I’m Doing Me” these days – better late than never! And it is never too late to become what you might have been or do what you could have done. Each day is a fresh start, a new beginning, another chance to get it right! Embrace change – it is the only constant in life – so welcome change like it is your best friend! RBecause “this too shall pass,” as sure as the day passes into night. Life is a series of moments, each one ephemeral and unique, each one transitioning into the next, forming a seemingly effortless ebb and flow of constantly changing stimuli…so accept each moment as it is NOW, be present for it or you might miss it while you are busy thinking about what was or what will be. The past has come and gone, the future may never manifest… So Be Here NOW.. .it is all that matters anyway :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR my dear friends and global family:

As we reflect on the passing year and anticipate a fresh beginning in 2013, let us allow our own true essence to shine, as well as embrace one another’s inherent Divinity and Innocence. There is a simple solution to a complex multitude of problems. Be kind to one another…Treat others how you want to be treated…Give Unconditional Love freely and be receptive to Unconditional Love…Forgive yourself and others…Let Go of past mistakes. May 2013 usher in a new era based on our Commonality rather than our Differences, our Strengths rather than our Weaknesses, and our Unity rather than our Division. May this (R)Evolutionary Quickening, or Planetary Awakening as One, inspire more people to embrace their divine nature and reflect the qualities they espouse and expect in others. Only through balance of word and deed, will we transcend the hypocrisy inherent in a judgmental society. May the recent planetary shift in Awareness raise the vibrational level and collective consciousness of the masses accordingly to meet the mounting challenges of a rapidly growing population in a self-destructive world of depleting resources. May the prospects of a New Beginning inspire more people to “Be The Change,” to help their fellow Earthlings, human or animal, whenever possible, to feel gratitude for what is often taken for granted, and “Pay it Forward” in kind with Love and Compassion for All Sentient Beings… For we are all ONE.
In fact, We are the Ones We Have Been Waiting For.
One World ~ ♥ One Love Eternal ♥

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Wishing you moments of Peace, Love, Light & Laughter every day of your life! I LOVE YOU! ~ Lisa

And this too shall pass…
Life is constantly in flux, moving, changing…flow with it…surf the waves, let them shape you but not define you…swim with the ebb and flow of experiences…
The minute you dwell on any one experience, whether good or bad, you get stuck…attachment throws you out of sync with the transitional flow of life…life is a series of moments, do not cling to any one moment just as you do not hold on to any one breath, otherwise you will miss the next breath that comes around, or the next moment. You would literally die if you lingered on one particular breath, interrupting your life flow, your chi, your energy flow, thereby hindering the next breath necessary for life to continue. Be present NOW, focus on each breath or each moment as it occurs, then let it go immediately as you mindfully welcome the next one, fresh and new, as if it were your first, your last, your only…

Instead of judging people while doing nothing to contribute in a positive way to our community and our planet, we can take responsibility, as a world citizen of planet Earth and a member of our community, to alleviate suffering of our fellow man/woman/animal in some way. We can advocate for justice or humane treatment, donate our time or money to human service work, vote in elections, offer a kind word or a sympathetic ear to the depressed and downtrodden…the options are infinite in number and varied in kind, but making negative judgments of others is clearly not among these constructive efforts! It’s called Empathy folks…if you don’t got it, then get it! Put yourself in the shoes of the other person, walk a virtual mile in their shoes, before passing judgment of any kind. In fact, don’t judge…it serves no purpose whatsoever. It is actually harmful and destructive to humanity as a collective conscious entity and disruptive to our divine harmony with Universe and Source/God. Think about it…
Love & Light to you all <3 … Namasté … <3 Lisa <3

I am not quite there yet, but it is my goal. For now, I am anti-cruelty and Vegetarian with a strong belief in and leaning toward becoming Vegan. I am anti-fur and anti-leather, although I am ashamed to admit I still own leather at this point. I am against animal experimentation of any kind and for any
reason. I am absolutely against murder, which includes hunting. If a preposterous justification such as over-population is used to condone hunting, then why not start by culling the over-population of humans and the unwanted children awaiting adoption or living in poverty or starvation. That should reduce the need for building on conservation land or forest land. Make sense? I didn’t think so. Case Closed on Hunting as a means to “Cull the Population” of deer or any other living creature. Live and Let Live. We are all God’s creatures and as divine beings we equally deserve to be treated with compassion and live free from suffering at the hands of others. This applies universally and unconditionally to all sentient beings including animals!. Let’s evolve as a human race and let Peace, Love and Harmony reign supreme.

Live Today like it is all you have…yesterday is gone, tomorrow is only a word to denote a Today that may never come.  NOW is the moment each of us must zoom in on, to achieve total awareness, to be fully awake in the present.  If you stay in the NOW, every moment is a unique gift that you open and appreciate…if you cling tightly to any one gift, or examine it too intently, you will be holding onto the past, an empty box, while a steady stream of unique gifts pass you by, just out of reach.  ©Lisa Pearlman

Shyness is an awkwardness inside, that stems from our lack of confidence or our self-doubts… basically our paralyzing fears, which hold us back from life in so many ways.  The good news is WE CAN OVERCOME OUR FEARS!  We can change our perceptions, and in turn, our reality, with mindful practice, self-awareness, self-affirmations, and consciously thinking through our fears so we realize they are either irrational or, if they are rational, they are certainly not as catastrophic as we imagine them to be.  We need to take social risks in order to fully participate in life and embrace its beauty.  When all is said and done, the worst that can happen is we start back at “square one” again, no worse than before, but possibly better!!

When we are young, life is a never-ending adventure. We take risks, throwing caution to the wind, as we seek fun in every experience. As adults we tend to be more cynical and “practical” constantly worrying bout the future (which we cannot control) and perseverating on the past (which we cannot change, hold onto or recreate). As children, we lived each moment, in the moment, always in the present. We looked at the world with eyes wide open with wonder, opportunity revealed itself in every experience as we explored and discovered our environment, our bodies, nature, creatures, objects… We embraced adventure and stimulation in our frivolous pursuit of fun. We were precocious, idealistic, naiive, trusting, fearless, innocent, unconditioned…each of us lost these child-like qualities in one way or another, at one time or another, through our experiences and social conditioning. Born into this world with a clean slate, devoid of precognitions and prejudices, we gradually developed a personality and habits, imprinting mental and emotional schemas, through social programming and mass indoctrination of ideas. After years of social experience these thoughts, feelings and attitudes have become so deeply ingrained in us, we believe they reflect our true essence. In actuality we couldn’t be further from our “authentic selfs.” We have difficulty letting go of or changing our etched patterns…we cling tightly to our egos because we no longer know who we really are! We have lost our “selfs” along the way! Born Human “BE-ings,” we “morphed” into Human “DO-ings.” Now, as adults, we adopt various roles to play, masks to wear, and tasks to accomplish. We identify and define ourselves with these self-stick labels (I.E. I am a grandfather, I am a son, I build houses, I am a teacher, I go to church…) We go through the motions, stumbling blindly through life, feeling disconnected and fragmented, unsatisfied and unimpressed. Why do we continue on this path when we can change direction and alter our life course at any time?

Life can be so much more! We need to return to our essence, revisit our inner child, view the world through new eyes, or actually old eyes…the eyes God gifted us with at birth in order to see all the beauty and wonder around us. Open up your eyes and your heart to the miracle of LIFE!! It is never too late to chase a rainbow or follow a dream!! To laugh that deep belly laugh that arises from deep in your being!! To twirl faster and faster til you fall to the grass, grinning from ear to ear, blissful, dizzy, as you watch the world spin around you!

Now, before you click “like” & get back to practical “matters of consequence,” why not take a life-altering step by “establishing ties” with that of an ephemeral nature, and in turn you will experience meaningful connection that is eternal. You do, indeed, reap what you sow.
“You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed.” ~ Antoine de Saint-Exupéry “The Little Prince”

If you truly want to awaken your senses and experience the extraordinary, I recommend you read “The Little Prince” by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. It was required reading in my high-school Psychology class, and it opened my eyes, heart and mind in a way I never thought possible, that I can’t even begin to explain. It is a quick read, but as a philosophical analysis, it has many deep layers of meaning and Universal Truths which will draw you back in to re-read and re-analyze the many lessons it imparts. I guarantee you will enjoy it if you were ever a child, and if you have any childhood memories you will most certainly relate to this sweet tale of innocence.

Peace, Love & Light to y’all…Lisa

P.S. If you made it this far without sleeping on me, Thanks for reading my ramblings :-)
